D & B Nursery has been registered and inspected by the Florida Department of Agriculture since 2001. They grow and sell from the Port Charlotte location, and sell regularly at farmer's markets, plant sales, and special events. People are welcome to visit and buy plants at the nursery. Their products are usually sold 1-7 gallons for customer convenience of handling, hauling, and planting.

Efrain "Chef Ef" Martinez was raised in San Andres in the south of Spain. Chef Ef learned much of his art of Spanish cooking from his grandmother Dona Felicita Perez de Garcia. He received a Degree in Culinary Arts from the prestigious Culinary Arts from the Institute of American Culinary Institute in Hyde Park, N.Y., he created La Posada Restaurant and Catering Co., was on the  PBS series "Chef Ef", and the TV Food Network "Cafe Ole".
